John has been playing drums professionally since 1980. He has compiled quite a list of accomplishments. After attending the Conservatory at UOP, he won the 1985 San Francisco Drum Competition which led him to Columbia recording artists, Le Mans. John has played in numerous local dance/club bands including Private Joke, Moving Violation and Injustice. He is the last remaining original member of the Stockton big band, “The Swingaires”, founded in 1980. John currently leads Northern California's Premier Abba tribute band , Waterloo. He is also currently performing with the local band, Del Scorpion and the Stingers. John is thrilled to be playing again with his very good friend, Tim Boore, who he worked with back in the 80's in the local rock band, Lefty. John has performed in over 30 shows at Stockton Civic Theater and San Joaquin Delta College Drama.
He continues to be the “house” drummer for the S.C.T. Musicals. John and his wife, Vicki, live in Stockton.
